Why did we Adopt the 4th SFAB?
What kind of Activities do we/can we conduct with the 4th SFAB?
The Adopt-a-Unit Program assists in building relationships between the VFW and our military members
MAP is financial assistance given to a VFW Post or Auxiliary for troop support activities to build relationships and provide information to their local military about VFW programs and services.
What kind of events can MAP Grant funds be used for
The most common events that we see include:
• Family Days, Picnics, BBQ’s, Welcome Home and Deployment Ceremonies,
Holidays and Festivals.
Note: MAP Grants cannot be used for Public Events and/or Formal Military events such as: Military Dining In/Out, Military Balls, Change of Command/Responsibility Ceremonies, etc.
The applicant is the service member, veteran, or eligible dependent listed under the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS).
The financial hardship must be due to one of the following:

The eligible and ineligible expense lists are not all inclusive. Each case will be carefully reviewed for its own merits. Upon approval, payments will be made for you directly to the creditor.
